Midterm Intervention - Dio Stanfill-Evans

For my Midterm Intervention project, I touched on four of the most influential and powerful people of today: Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Benjamin Netanyahu. I wanted to talk about their greatest crimes, what they're currently doing that makes them so influential/dangerous, how they made their fortune, and how they impacted our daily lives.

For Elon Musk, I touched on how he made his fortune, his involvement with US Politics, and his involvement with right wing *German* parties.

For Mark Zuckerberg, I touched on his fortune making, the poor running of his social media sites, and his censorship

For Donald Trump...I had to keep it short honestly. If I listed all his most notable crimes, it would take up a ton of space. So much so that it would cover up the drawing, so I kept it short. I wrote about how he GOT, not made, his money, and his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. I want all focus on Trump to be strictly focusing on the Epstein Files because we NEED that list released.

For Netanyahu, I decided to focus on his crimes against the Palestinian people because I think this is one of the most important things you can write and read about

Here is a photo of my midterm

I wanted to keep it small so people could take it anywhere they go

I wanted this zine to grab the attention of people like me: People who truly believe they truly can't do anything meaningful. Too scared, too angry, too ill, and/or too uneducated. (Not that I think I'm helpless, just very skittish and unstable) I think that knowing and recognizing the actions the people who are causing the most harm is what's most important to everyone. That way, even the most uneducated person can recognize when their rights are being threatened. The quote at the end "What will YOU do?" is open ended because I want to know what people will do. I don't want to tell them to do things, I want them to come to their own conclusions and make their own decisions.

"Our work can be fun, creative, and on the cutting edge, but if that’s all it is, it’s not good enough." (The art of activism - chapter 7) This quote sticks with me the most throughout this project because I want my work to be fun and creative, but I want it to do more. If my project made you look even more differently at these "men", then it has done its duty and I feel fulfilled.

Another rather long quote that stuck with me is "Any time we organize a trip, plant a garden, or simply make dinner,we use planning. We ask ourselves: What do I want to do? How do I want to do it? What steps do I need to take? And what actions do I need to do? Goals, strategy, objectives, and tactics—these are the basics, too,of planning any campaign." (The art of activism - chapter 7) Organization. Organization is what made all those successful protests so successful. Everyone there was trained to handle whatever was thrown at them. Sit ins where liquid was poured on their heads? Getting pepper sprayed? Fire hoses? They made it through those obstacles because they were trained to. My piece is supposed to be the spark that begins the protest. I want people to get angry and get together to come up with ideas to combat these evil men.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed my midterm, I had so much fun making it.
