3 Ideas for Midterm Project
1. Make a slideshow presentation about why black artists need to be recognized more, pay homage to more often, deserve more credit & respect & ETC. My slideshow will also include pieces & unique facts about the artist; Jean-Michel Basquiat. I will talk more about what his art & other artists that we talked about in class such as Kimberly Drew; I'll talk more about what their art means to me & how they are so impactful, inspiring, & legends for the new artists making their mark in the world.
2. Poster about certain issues that was brought to my attention from the painting that I chose to speak about. Issues such as discrimination, unfair treatment, & stereotypes. I also want to make a poster about women rights; abortion rights, woman penalty, & unfair pay.
3. Recreate a portrait similar to the painting I chose to speak about in my last assignment, Hollywood Africans by Jean-Michel Basquiat. My portrait will include the stereotypes that are mentioned to people of color in today's world. As well as how stereotypes affects us & pre-judges us before you get to understand who we really are.
