Chapter 8 Quotes

“Ethics are a set of moral principles that shape,guide, and hopefully,determine how we behave.” 

Short Response- This quote shows,the definition of ethics and the way we should apply ethics by the way we act, so the world could be in a more of a peaceful and respectful place. 

“We are always facing circumstances where our values conflict with one another.” 

Short Response-I chose this quote because I relate to this and I often lean on make decisions to make the consequences less worse like a happy outcome,and sometimes people do stuff that we are forced to or not doing anything at all out of fear. For example the Black Lives Matter post the consequence is police brutality but African Americans were courage enough to protest knowing their consequence. 

Chapter 9 Quote 

“It’s as if they are afraid to allow these thoughts to enter their minds because acknowledging them will make it too difficult to return to everyday reality if setback of Struggle."

Short Response-This quote demonstrates,how we all wish to live in an imaginary world that we all are successful but once we wake up from that dream it’s hard to accept reality in which we fight to survive.  

“Being So close to the issues we are struggling with, we often get caught up in the immediate problems we face.” 

Short Response- I took this quote as problems that people face,however I feel like we should Prioritize the problems that really are important instead of letting problems consume you. 

Issue That I’m talking about is Black Lives Matter. It’s an issue that was very popular and I also wanted to talk and perform a current issue. 

Performance-Since my passion is soccer,and I did work before about soccer in my midterm, I was planning too go to Arena King Soccer which is where my brother trains,and it’s also a indoor training soccer center.  And so I was going to me and my brothers teammates each take one penalty and if they score their celebration they will come up to my video and celebrate by saying Stop Racism,No more Discrimation,Stop Segregation and in my video I was going to have messages like a caption like statistics of slavery and stuff like that. That’s like my performance soccer. 

Inspiration 

• This is just an idea that popped on my head one day and I found it interesting and what i wanted to do. My Inspiration though art wise is Shawn Leonardo because of his courage,and bravery to put his body on the line to send a message. That shows that he’s a very passionate person. Also his performance himself because I’m a lucha libre fan,so I connected to him
